Art Deco period and especially the architecture is the inspiration for this pendant. I have always loved the buildings from this era. Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Bryant Park Hotel in New York City, some grand train stations and concert halls in the USA and abroad, Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur to name a few. All have this timeless quality to them. Deco Dance Pendant features a geometric CRAW pendant, embellished with several tiny rondelles and Swarovski cubes. Linear dangles featuring Swarovski cubes, hang below. Wear it from a simple cord or your favorite long chain.
Pendant measures 1 ¾” by 4 ¾” approximately.
Techniques: Cubic Right Angle Weave, Right Angle Weave, and embellishing stitches.
Level: Intermediate to Advanced.
Kit includes all the beads necessary to make one pendant in the color of your choice, detailed step-by-step instruction with digital illustrations and photos to make the process a breeze!
Load or Unload? Swarovski’s recent news about discontinuing several crystals for DIY market has given me two stark choices. Do I load up on whatever crystals I can get since they are the best in the market or do I unload whatever I have in my stash since no more will be available? I have made my decision to unload most of it. Several designs feature Swarovski cubes (which I love) and they will be the first to go. I love channel settings in fine jewelry and the cubes are perfect to replicate that in beaded jewelry. Please see Into the Wind Necklace, Venezia Bracelet, Cosmo Cuff Bracelet to name a few. All these kits are available in very limited quantities in my shop.
