Tibetan prayer flags flutter at the top of Mt. Everest, along the route to the base camp of many mountains in the Himalayan region, on the roads leading to Buddhist temples, and from the homes of people who believe in spreading the message of peace and compassion. They are colorful, each color representing the elements of fire, water, air, earth and sky. Buddhists believe these flags would carry blessings into the wind, so they hang them near rivers, mountain passes and temples to benefit all who passed underneath. Inspired by the prayer flags, Into the Wind Necklace features Swarovski cube beads in several colors, lustrous crystal or shell pearls, and premium seed beads. This shimmering necklace is stitched with Cubic Right Angle Weave stitch and finished with a beautiful clasp. This necklace is a reminder to me to send out my message for peace and kindness into the world. As I do so, it is my hope to benefit from this message as well. What I send out into the universe, I hope to get back.
Techniques: Cubic Right Angle Weave Stitch, fringe stitch.
