This is the 2nd version of Toucarina Necklace. The 1st version had a vintage Czech glass beak which is no longer available. In this version, the beak is fully beaded which makes it easier for everyone to source materials.

This tropical Toucarina toucan Necklace wants to fly into your life! The pendant features a toucan with colorful beaded beak, accented with tropical flower and other beads and long fringes. The fun and unusual pendant hangs from a slim long chain. Toucarina Necklace is whimsical and will put you in a summer breeze mood, no matter what the season.
Toucans are found in tropical rainforests. Usually, toucans have large colorful beaks and black body with some bright spots of color. These birds are unique and instantly recognizable.
Techniques: Bead Embroidery and fringe stitch. Size: Pendant is 2” wide x 4” long. Hangs from 22” chain, no clasp.

For this project you will need Size 11 seed beads in several colors, tila beads, colorful beads in various sizes for dangles, a small rhinestone for eye and another larger one for body. All the common materials used in bead embroidery must be at hand as well.
