In folklore, across the continents, moths symbolize many things. They represent transformation and re-birth, dreams and intuition, as messengers of ancestors who have passed on, and they are also associated with comfort and relief from pain. Moths are delicate and beautiful, though a bit less popular than their cousins, the butterflies. They are always attracted to light and hence nocturnal. These long, dangly earrings feature 4 types of moth with various findings hanging from their wings. There are also bezeled crystal cabochons and pearl cabochons for added interest. The completed earring is very lightweight, shimmery and flirty.
Techniques: A tiny bit of bead embroidery and mostly jumpring connections.
Length: The length varies between 4” long by 1 ½” wide and slightly shorter for some colors.
It is really easy to make shorter versions or make them even longer by adding your own beads or links.
