Buried loot of the ancients is fascinating, Egyptian jewelry in particular. Brightly colored lapis lazuli, carnelian, turquoise, amethyst, peridot and other gemstones set in shiny gold surrounded by more ornamentation in enamel is proof that ancient Egyptians loved colorful jewelry. Scarabs symbolized immortality. Bastet, a cat, protected women from diseases and majestic Sphinx were carved in gemstones and used in jewelry. Buried Treasure Necklace features a beautiful Czech glass button with Sphinx motif, bezeled with seed beads and quarter tila beads, finished with lotus bud dangles. Above the pendant, Bastet keeps watch. The pendant hangs from a simple CRAW rope with striped segments.
