Marquesa, as the name suggests, has several marquise or navette crystals surrounded by turquoise and gold seed beads, adding a vintage vibe to your outfit. The collar of this necklace features several marquise shaped components each with a delicate bead dangle. A large carved turquoise resin bead accents the pendant detail in the center. This necklace is finished with a crystal studded box clasp. Marquesa Necklace was inspired by the large carved dangle bead I bought at a gem show. The bead is carved with several rose flowers and other scroll patterns imparting a romantic vibe to the bead. I wanted to use it in a necklace but I thought it was too large a bead to use several of them. Instead, I decided to use it as an accent bead. It was perfect with marquise cut crystals and matching turquoise seed beads. I used mostly peyote stitch with some other embellishment stitches to finish this necklace. One more thing: This necklace was finished couple of days before the New Year 2014, to celebrate what a great year it was for me as a bead artist. I made many new friends, learnt so much from many wonderful beaders, was published in Beadwork, Bead and Button, Perlen Poesie, and taught at several venues including Bead and Button Show 2013 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This will always be a special necklace for me. This necklace is beautiful over a blouse and looks even more dramatic over your décolleté. Wear it for your next glamorous occasion and turn heads in your direction! This is so beautiful! I saw it in an ad on page 10 in the June B&B issue, but do not see the pattern or kit on your website. Will you offer this in the future?
